Piping hot fresh fish and shrimp!!! This wasn’t on the buffet, the waitress brought this to me fresh out the grease included with the buffet!!! Awesome!!!! On my way back from Raleigh from now on this will be my stop!!!!
I stopped in with my mom and dad, along with my mom's first cousin. We were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. The food, while not exactly the healthiest, was exactly what we needed for our comfort. We shall return!
Up from SC for my granddaughters 1st birthday. Stopped at bojangjes and fortunately it was packed. That allowed me to find this gem. Enjoyed everything greatly. Staff was super nice and polite.
An excellent buffer style restaurant especially if you enjoy traditional southern cookin'
I-95 travelers support local hometown America. this is southern comfort food your mom wishes she could make. You wont leave hungry, that's a promise.
Food is good for the price. I came in about 3:30 on a Apparently, they take the seafood off the bar when it's slow. Not to worry though, they'll cook you some to order. Service is great. Not as much selection as the other Grandsons I've been to though. That's why I gave them only 4 stars. But the price was good... Less than $12
Great food! The all you can eat buffet with soup/salad bar always has several seafood items(fish, shrimp, devil crab etc) and the overall selection of good country food is huge! All of the employees are extremely friendly and the manager is always checking with every table to make sure customers are happy. I love the sweet tea and veggies! They also offer take out, several types of family packs and catering!
If you’re looking for Southern comfort food- you’ll find it here. Great selection for the price. The food did seem to sit out a little longer than needed but overall great place to stuff your face. Recommend to anyone looking to eat like a king for the price of a peasant.
The food is mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the $26 for two people. Afterwards we agreed that the Western Sizzler may have been a better choice. The diet Coke was the best item.
The food was great. Friendly staff. Going back here when I'm in town
Great southern home cooking. Lots of choices. Slightly expensive but what they serve isn't cheap to buy and cook. So I understand it. Family friendly atmosphere.
Food was bland. Not what I consider comfort food due to lack of seasoning. Taste is that of a cafeteria serving elderly people. They do have a large buffet and good selection, also good desserts. It's more than just a lack of salt, but that would be a start. 2 for $20 lunch during week including drinks is decent for a sit down restaurant. Between the two of us we tried most of the buffet, and about 3 items were as we expected, plus all the desserts were good. Waitress was slow to refill drinks and cleared the table when one of us went to the bathroom and the other stepped out for a call. If you tend towards bland and/or are on a low sodium diet, you may love it, but we did not.
We had a wonderful meal last night at the Dunn location. Staff was friendly and attentive. There were so many offerings, I had a difficult time making choices, so I chose A LOT of small bites and then some more! Everything was good and some bites took me home to Eastern N.C. farming country. We will definitely return to sample more items. Cost was extremely reasonable.
Oh my goodness! So glad to have found this restaurant. The buffet was outstanding. They were bringing out hot fried shrimp and flounder as we walked up and what must have been at least a dozen different veggies. Julie, our waitress was so kind and attentive. My husband and I went with our 3 children. I usually brace myself for the hard look from the waitress who has to serve us. Likely expecting a hard time from us. But not Julie, she was professional and considerate. Ketchup napkins and cups with lids and we're good to good. Shout out to the great cooks and friendly staff! Keep it up. Can't wait to come back.
It’s not that the food is bad, just not great. What is absolutely annoying is the full price for a buffet meal and then you wander down the serving lines and are greeted by empty servers, primary the seafood. This is the rule, not the exception. Then you see the takeout people come through that are looking seafood and guess what, wait 30 minutes and maybe we’ll cook some! What the hell! If it is a buffet, then stock it or put the sign on the front window and charge for what you serve or just quit deceiving the customers. I’m sure the problem will soon take care of itself based on my last two experiences. Never Grandsons again.Update 8/1/2019. Grandsons closed up shop in Dunn, NC beginning of 2019. Guess I wasn t the only one tired or a sub par buffet and terrible service.
